API 610 Pump Classification (Overview)
API 610 คือมาตรฐานสำหรับ centrifugal pumps ที่ใช้ในอุตสาหกรรม เช่น Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Plant เน้นความ ทนทาน ความปลอดภัย และการทำงานต่อเนื่อง (continuous duty) API 610 แบ่งปั๊มหลัก ๆ เป็น 3 กลุ่มใหญ่ ตามโครงสร้างการติดตั้ง:
1. OH Type – Overhung Pumps (ปั๊มที่ใบพัดยื่นออกจากแบริ่ง)
Overhung pumps have the impeller mounted on the end of the shaft, outside the bearing housing. They are compact, easy to maintain, and widely used for general services.
ปั๊มแบบ Overhung คือปั๊มที่ใบพัดติดอยู่ปลายเพลา โดยยื่นออกมาจากชุดแบริ่ง โครงสร้างไม่ซับซ้อน ขนาดกะทัดรัด ดูแลรักษาง่าย

OH1: Horizontal, foot-mounted
OH2: Horizontal, centerline-mounted (นิยมมากในโรงกลั่น)
OH3–OH6: Vertical / close-coupled / special design

2. BB Type – Between Bearings Pumps (ปั๊มที่ใบพัดอยู่ระหว่างแบริ่ง)
Between bearings pumps have the impeller(s) located between two bearings. This design provides better shaft stability and is suitable for high pressure and high flow applications.
ปั๊มแบบ Between Bearings คือปั๊มที่ใบพัดอยู่ตรงกลางระหว่างแบริ่งสองด้าน ช่วยเพิ่มความแข็งแรงของเพลา เหมาะกับงานหนักและแรงดันสูง

3. VS Type – Vertically Suspended Pumps (ปั๊มแนวตั้ง จุ่มลงในของเหลว)
Vertically suspended pumps are installed vertically with the impeller submerged in the liquid. They are ideal for services where NPSH is limited.
ปั๊มแนวตั้งแบบ Vertically Suspended จะติดตั้งในแนวดิ่ง โดยส่วนใบพัดจุ่มอยู่ในของเหลว เหมาะกับงานที่มีปัญหาเรื่อง NPSH หรือดูดจากบ่อ/ถังลึก
